Scope of Project
We partnered with the team to redesign and rebuild the website in WordPress, replacing an outdated template with a modern, member-driven platform that includes a custom dynamic professional directory, custom job board, event calendar and registration, news hub, and dedicated resource library for members.

The previous Metro Hort Group site was built on an older template that no longer matched the scale or reputation of the organization. Member features, events, and the professional directory were presented in a mostly static format, and the overall design no longer reflected Metro Hort's role as a 40-year hub for horticultural professionals in the NYC Tri-State region.

A fully redesigned WordPress site built around the way Metro Hort Group actually operates. Members can log in, search a professional directory by specialization and location, register for events, post and browse jobs, and access an exclusive resource library, all inside a modern design that finally reflects the organization's 40-year presence in the NYC horticultural community.

A rebuilt platform that finally matches the depth of Metro Hort Group's community and the scope of what the organization actually does. The new site turns a 40-year-old association into a working digital home for its members, and gives the team infrastructure they can grow into rather than around.
Highlights of what we designed and built:
- Modern homepage that leads on Metro Hort's community stats and surfaces featured programs like Plant-O-Rama up front.
- Member login and membership system that turns the site into a genuine member platform rather than a public information page.
- Custom dynamic professional directory with search and filtering by specialization and location, giving members and the public an easier way to find and connect with horticultural professionals.
- Events calendar and registration flow with dedicated pages for symposiums, workshops, garden walks, and trade show exhibitor forms.
- Custom job board with a structured employer submission system and dedicated job listings for horticultural professionals looking for new opportunities.
- Members-only resource library hosting exclusive content for members.
- News hub and member spotlights giving Metro Hort a place to share updates, grant recipient stories, and community news.
- Support and sponsorship flow built to make donations and sponsorship inquiries a first-class part of the experience.
Together, the new site positions Metro Hort Group as the modern digital home for horticultural professionals in the NYC Tri-State region, and gives the team a platform they can manage and grow on their own.
